ABOUT THE STAMPS
This is the standard or early De La Rue shade. It features a brighter, much cleaner bright blue / ultramarine value tablet at the base. The frame is a true pre-decimal dull purple with a slightly colder hue. The paper is bright, and it appears to be Unmounted Mint (UM) or possesses a barely noticeable, pristine light hinge mark. There is no major toning or pencil markings. Paper appears to be ordinary paper (non-chalky), aligning with SG 242. Estimated around £80 – £110 due to the very clean reverse.
