GB QUEEN VICTORIA 1876, 3d CARMINE Telegraph Stamp, SG T3, Plate 3, MNH
ABOUT THE STAMPS
Design & Plate: It features Queen Victoria's portrait within a central circular frame reading "TELEGRAPHS" and "THREE PENCE" . The number 3 is engraved inside the small boxes at the top-left and top-right corners, designating it specifically as Plate 3 .
Corner Letters: The lower corners show the symmetric check letters "B - B"(with corresponding reversed "B" placements subtly integrated into the upper filigree layout).
Condition: This specimen is in excellent unused / mint condition . The carmine-rose colour is vibrant and unfaded, the margins are well-cantered, and the perforations are crisp and fully intact.
Extremely Low Production: According to official archives, a mere 5 registration sheets(only 1,200 individual stamps total) were ever printed for Plate 3. While Plate 1 and Plate 2 of this era are relatively straightforward to find, authentic issued copies of Plate 3 are incredibly rare. It stands as one of the keys to a complete Victorian telegraph collection.IMPORTANT INFORMATION
