GB QUEEN VICTORIA 1855, 1d RED-BROWN, SG 29 (SG C8), Pl.26, MNH
ABOUT THE STAMPS
1d RED-BROWN, SG 29 (SG C8), Pl.26
Die II, Alphabet III (tall, uniform corner letters)
Large Crown Type I, Upright (Standard) from the reverse image.
Checked and confirmed as Perf 14
Textbook deep blued paper showing heavy chemical blueing across the entire reverse.
The intense, edge-to-edge blueing on the back strictly confines this stamp to the earliest possible production window for Alphabet III, ruling out later plates. Visually, the low and right-shifted alignment of the F punch points specifically toward an early print from Plate 26.
Highly collectable British classic postage stamp.
